Undergraduate Committee on Global Thought

The Undergraduate Committee on Global Thought (UCGT) offers an opportunity for Columbia’s undergraduate students to meet and talk with distinguished scholars and practitioners from the Columbia community and beyond whose work places them on the forefront of global trends. This undergraduate group helps to connect global resources to the Columbia University student body to further the interdisciplinary mission of promoting and empowering the enterprise of global thought. The UCGT, now a formally recognized student organization, is open to students from Columbia’s four undergraduate schools. With faculty collaboration, the UCGT members plan the Undergraduate Committee’s public events, workshops with university faculty, and take up issues of undergraduate global education.

The 2017-2018 UCGT Leadership Team includes Chair Srishti Sinha (CC, 2018), Vice-Chair Allegra De Lorenzo (BC, 2019), Vice-Chair Noah Faison (CC, 2020), and Treasurer Tomas Luksic (CC, 2018).  They are advised by CGT faculty members Vishakha N. Desai and Carol Gluck.
