Join us on September 13th for a lecture on India and China, entitled "Awakening Giants, Feet of Clay: India and China". The lecture will be given by Pranab Bardhan, Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Bardhan has done theoretical and field studies research on rural institutions in poor countries, on political economy of development policies, and on international trade. A part of his work is in the interdisciplinary area of economics, political science, and social anthropology.
On September 14th, Professor Bardhan will be joined by Jon Elster and John Roemer to discuss rational choice theory in economics and politics. Event details can be found at http://www.heymancenter.org/events.php.
