Summer Intern Winslow MacDonald

This summer the CGT welcomed intern Winslow MacDonald, a rising high school senior at Phillips Exeter Academy. Winslow spent six weeks with the CGT, conducting research and developing resources for a new undergraduate course that will be offered in Spring 2018: “Global 20: The Meanings of Youth in an Interconnected World.” In addition to developing materials for the course, Winslow used the internship as an opportunity to explore his own interest in Civil War history by researching and writing a paper titled “For Glory, God, and Freedom: Comparing Motivations of Young Men in Two Civil Wars.”

“I have always been passionate about history, and love[ed] the opportunity to channel this passion in a professional environment,” noted Winslow, who plans to major in History in college.
