M.A. Student – Class of 2021
Born and raised in Seattle, WA, I earned a B.A. in Political Science from Colorado College, largely focusing on continental political theory and theories of international relations. During college, I worked for an education technology startup in Shanghai, China, and conducted independent research at the 14th International Venice Architecture Biennale in Venice, Italy. Upon graduation, I spent time as a studio assistant for The Still House Group, the formerly artist-run organization based in New York City, while also developing my own studio practice in Brooklyn, NY, and working for BOMB Magazine, the multi-platform publishing house and magazine archived within the Columbia University Rare Book and Manuscript Library. Since then, my own art criticism has appeared in Artforum, BOMB Magazine, and Cultured Magazine. My choice to engage with the Committee on Global Thought is part of a reorientation towards the broader political science, communications, and cultural journalism fields. During my time at Columbia, apart from my studies, I’ll be working with the Columbia Center for Contemporary Critical Thought.
