Meiru calls Beijing, where she’s from, and Ann Arbor, where she finished her undergraduate, homes. She was trained in economics before Columbia, but also immersed herself in philosophy and entrepreneurship minors. At Global Thought, she hopes to research the connection between philanthropy and business, and startups and multinational corporations, through case studies and interviews. In her free time, she can be found training for endurance races, playing basketball or guitar, and discussing philosophical questions with friends. She’s also a dog fanatic so be careful of bringing dogs to her!
