Citizenship: Slovakia and Italy
Being Slovak-Italian, I feel like I have two homes. One is in the big and chaotic Italian city of Naples and the other in the small central European city of Bratislava, Slovakia.
I grew up mostly in Slovakia, and did my undergraduate studies in political science at Comenius University and the Università di Bologna. It was thanks to these studies that I gained the desire to further develop myself, to grasp academic challenges, and to discover solutions in this increasingly complicated world. In the future, I wish to make progress in the field of energy security, both domestically and internationally, and that is why I applied for the Global Thought program. I am interested in how countries can achieve higher levels of energy security, especially at a time when they are being tested by global challenges such as international conflicts and the climate crisis, and thus be strong players in today’s globalized world.I have been actively involved in a program to educate young civil servants in the Slovak state administration. I have worked on a presidential campaign and a campaign for the European elections, and I try to volunteer in activities that benefit society. My alter ego is a contemporary dancer and a Girl Scout. I like to test my endurance and willingness to push through for higher goals.
