Citizenship: Singapore
Growing up in various international communities in Singapore and China, I developed an early interest in global development, media, and history. My multicultural upbringing inspired me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Film and Media Studies at Tufts University, followed by work experiences at the United Nations Resident Coordinator’s Office in Beijing. At Columbia, I aim to delve deeper into the studies of global communications, economics, politics, and more through the interdisciplinary approach of the MA in Global Thought program. I hope to focus my research topics on youth, soft power, and the influence of digital media on international organizations and political stability.
