On February 5, 2020, the Undergraduate Committee on Global Thought (UCGT), GSAlliance, and the Columbia University Science Journal presented a screening of the film Born to Be.
This acclaimed documentary from director Tania Cypriano and Producer Michelle Koo Hayashi follows the work of Dr. Jess Ting at the groundbreaking Mt. Sinai Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery in New York City.
Following the film screening, participants had the opportunity to hear from a panel composed of Dr. Ting, Ms. Hayashi, and Dr. Michael Marin and moderated by Professor Yasmine Ergas, Director of the Specialization on Gender and Public Policy at Columbia University.
