Columbia Global Night:

An Undergraduate Open Forum

Schapiro Hall, Lounge, 605 W. 115th Street

November 20, 2014, 6:00PM – 8:00PM

How can Columbia University undergraduates become better equipped to understand and participate in the inter-connected, inter-dependent world of the 21st century? It is widely noted that in the next decade, one in every four jobs will be related to global trade and development.  Do you feel you are prepared for this new world?  What do you need from your undergraduate education to provide a more nuanced global perspective?

Students from all undergraduate schools and faculty representatives of the University Forum on Global Columbia discussed how to integrate the undergraduate student body into conversations regarding issues around our “global” education, from changes to our undergraduate curriculum to additional study abroad programs.

This event is only open to undergraduate students from Barnard College, Columbia College, School of Engineering and Applied Science, and School of General Studies.

Snacks and refreshments will be served. No registration is required.
