To explain the various forms of domestic and global turbulence that have emerged in recent years, Prof. Jean-Marie Guéhenno argues that we need to understand that we are living in a period of profound social crisis defined by a backlash against traditional political institutions as well as a neoliberal, hyper-individualist ideology.
