Course Registration Webinars

The below video provides a step-by-step look at the course registration process at Columbia. This video was produced by M.A. Global Thought student Michelle Lee expressly for future Global Thought students going through the registration process.

Some key details have changed since the webinar was produced in 2019. Please note at the following approximate times:

• 00:30: Because M.A. Seminar is now offered for 4 credits, you will get 17 credits total from required Global Thought classes and will need only 13 credits from electives.
• 3:49: The webinar mentions an in-person advising meeting. Summer advising appointments now take place on Zoom.
• 9:21: The RU call number changes each semester. You will receive information about each semester’s RU call number via email from CGT staff; please use this number to register for the correct RU.
