From Osaka to Tokyo, Carol Gluck Speaks at Japanese Universities

Carol Gluck, the George Sansom Professor of History and Chair of the Committee on Global Thought at Columbia University, gave keynote addresses at three symposia in early 2016: “Rediscovering Northeast Asia” at the National Museum of Ethnology in Osaka, January 23-24, 2016; “Internationalizing Japan Studies,” Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, January 30-31, 2016; and “Memory Regime Change in East Asia” Waseda University, February 4, 2016. Professor Gluck also presented a public lecture on “What the World Owes to the Comfort Women” at the Center for Women and Governance in Tokyo on February 2, 2016.
