HarperCollins seeks to publish Erlick’s The Measure in 2022.
Masters in Global Thought alum Nikki Erlick (MA ’17) recently penned a deal with HarperCollins to publish her debut novel, The Measure.
The book is set to release in June, 2022. Erlick has also sold the rights to translate the book into French, Italian, German, and Swedish. Fittingly, Erlick’s MA thesis was on the topic of “Translation in the American Publishing Industry.”
A major TV studio has also taken interest in the book, and a series has recently started early development in Los Angeles.
The Measure “is set in a world where people can find out how much time they have left to live.”
