CGT Graduate Program Director Sarah Miller-Davenport recently published a chapter in the book, Reconsidering Regions in an Era of Nationalism. Her chapter, Where in the World is Hawai‘i? Shifting Geographies of the 50th State, contributes to the book’s analysis on how race and racial thinking have evolved as a major force to define region and nation over time.
