Aidan is a sophomore at SEAS studying applied physics on the pre-med track. As a Global Thought Scholar, he hopes to pursue research at the intersection of physics, applied mathematics, and medicine. His current research interests include environmental models that aim to predict, mitigate, and possibly prevent both natural and man-made disasters, as well as mathematical models of the decision making of tumor cell populations. Prior to attending Columbia, he investigated trends in global sea-level rise and characteristics of tropical cyclones in the Pacific Ocean including formation, frequency, and translation speed.
