M.A. Student – Class of 2022

Citizenship: Croatia

In my application for Global Thought, I wrote that I am “the loudest Croatian girl you will ever know”. I hail from Croatia, although I have not formally lived there since 2014 when I moved to the United Kingdom just outside of London to attend boarding school. After that, I came to New York where I attended Barnard College, Columbia University, and worked as a marketing technology analyst at the Google search startup company Conductor, and as an Associate Consultant for a Global Market Research company that works with Private Equity funds.

One of my biggest passions and strengths are languages and I am proudly fluent in more than five including my native Croatian, English, French, German and Italian so I hope to find a career that will utilize these skills. I am also passionate about immigration, justice, entrepreneurship, scaling, and the growth of global enterprises. My goal is to work in fields that intersect technology, globalization, and disruption. Therefore, I hope to work in global policy and development, venture capital,  private equity, or consulting. I aspire to start a company that would focus on one of my passions, whether that is global immigration and talent, mental health, or development and education.

At Columbia, I expect to work with some of the most talented and inspiring professors, discover new programs, classes, and students, and see how they can help us build a better future and planet.
