Citizenship: United Kingdom

Despite being of British and Chinese heritage, I would consider myself a citizen of the world, having grown up in England, India, the UAE, South Africa, and Turkey. With two journalists as parents, discussions surrounding international affairs are the norm for family dinner time. Through studying Criminology for my undergraduate degree, I was able to explore the world of human rights further and realize my passion for developing prison reform to better the conditions for incarcerated women. I am confident that the structures and resources of the Global Thought program will grant me access to dynamic learning opportunities that will help me achieve my professional goals. Upon completing this program, I hope to start my own NGO focused on developing the rights of women with a history of domestic violence and abuse to facilitate their rehabilitation, both within prison as well as upon release.
