Citizenship: South Korea

Home for me has involved movement between South Korea, the Philippines, Aotearoa/New Zealand, and Australia. My lived experiences in these places have motivated my interest in colonialism and its effects. I moved to Australia for my undergraduate degree, completing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at the University of Melbourne to further my study of settler-colonial contexts. At Columbia, I look forward to being part of a thriving community and to pursue postcolonial and decolonial investigations of research. In the future, I can see myself working in the academic world and/or within global social movements.
