My name is William Simqu and I hail from Westlake Village, California—a small suburb north of Los Angeles. I attended the University of Michigan for undergraduate where I completed a major in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics with a dual minor in Spanish and Environmental Studies. Ever since I was a kid I was obsessed with the University of Michigan football team, so attending the university was a dream come true. I enjoy reading the news and I cannot wait to discuss global events with my future peers in the Global Thought program. As for the future, I would love to pursue a career that would allow me to write, stay engaged with international affairs, and travel.
